Chlorine emergency units are gas scrubbing plants for the prevention of accidents arising from the escape of chlorine from supply tanks and/or chlorine dosing plants.
After an escape of gas the contaminated atmosphere is drawn into the gas scrubbing plant. Chlorine is almost completely adsorbed in caustic or other suitable alkaline scrubbing liquors. Our chlorine emergency units consist of two jet scrubbing stages. They have the following characteristics:
- immediately ready to adsorb
- considerable adsorption capacity
- automatic suction of the gas flow
- no fittings in the gas flow
- compact, space-effective construction
- high operational safety
In contrast to packed columns, the jet scrubber conveys the discharged air which has to be cleaned without the use of any additional fan. The jet scrubber operates as an ejector and as a parallel flow scrubber with a large material exchange surface.
Standard design: PE
