Steam Jet Liquid Pumps are used to elevate and convey liquids, particularly where they are to be simultaneously heated.

Typical applications are:

  • Elevation and conveying of :
    • caustic solutions and liquid chemicals, such as lyes, acids, tanning liquors, milk of lime
    • fluids, such as effluent liquors, spent wash, mash liquors, bilge water
  • Circulating:
    •  with simultaneous heating of the circulating liquid

Construction and Operation
The liquid to be conveyed must not be too hot, as only if the driving steam condenses and thereby loses its volume, can the total energy available to convey the liquid become effective.
These pumps operate like a steam jet pump, to evacuate the suction lines (at start-up), thus are self-priming.

Steam Jet Liquid Pumps are available in standard materials: cast iron, cast stainless steel, and in eight standard sizes, from DN20 to DN80
