The constantly increasing demand for drinking water creates considerable
investments in the field of sea water desalination plants. The company GEA Jet
Pumps of Ettlingen, one of the market leaders in the field of jet pump
technology, benefits from this development. The company has received another
large-scale order for five multiple-stage steam jet vacuum pumps with
precondensers for a sea water desalination plant in Abu Dhabi. The customer is
an important Korean engineering company. This time, the decisive factor for
obtaining the order was, apart from the proven technology, the flexibility
regarding the delivery time, as the first one of these systems must be
delivered CIF within a period of 4 months. As a result, another five plants can
be added to the reference list, which already boasts a large number of
systems.
