In modern vacuum systems, GEA Jet Pumps GmbH
uses product vapour for the operation of the jet pumps. As compared to
conventional systems, the advantage consists in the reuse of condensate as pump
fluid and in the partly considerably lower energy consumption. The systems are
increasingly used in the synthetic fibres industry. Both, new plants are
installed and vacuum pumps operated with water vapour are modified. For GEA Jet
Pumps, one of the leading firms in this sector of technology, this line of
business still counts as growth industry. The most recent success has been the
receipt of an order for a multiple-stage vacuum plant including evaporator from
one of the leading Korean producers of the polyester industry.
