Jet scrubbers operate according to the injector principle. They generate a pressure gain in the gas flow thus in general, there is no need for a fan. Jet scrubbers are particularly suited to the cleaning of flue gases which contain high levels of noxious and/or dust-laden substances.
Given the modified design, including a quench, gases of up to 1,300°C can be cooled and scrubbed in one process.
Complete jet scrubbing plants of types 1 and 2 can be supplied in suitable materials for any purpose.
