Steam Jet Vacuum Pumps use the energy of a high pressure vapour to compress low pressure vapours to a medium pressure level. Normally such Jet Pumps are driven by steam but in principle however, Vapour Jet Pumps can operate with most normal vapours to compress a variety of different vapours.
Typical applications for single-stage Steam jet Vacuum Pumps are:
- Evacuation of the suction lines for non-self priming pumps
- Production of negative pressure in suction filters or similar types of filter
- Lifting liquids
- Vacuum generation in stirred vessels in discontinuous (batch) processes. ¨
Steam Jet Vacuum Pumps are produced for most normal suction flows and fabricated from most normal materials of construction.
Steam Jet Vacuum Pumps are available in the following standard materials: Cast iron, cast stainless steel, ceramic, in standard sizes from DN25, DN50, DN80 (metal construction), or DN32 to DN100 (ceramic construction).
A typical application for a steam jet vacuum pump, is the elevation of liquids.
